Arrival and departure stays in Nairobi will have an extra 450$ per adult and 300$ for a Child.
CHILDREN
Children are ages 3 to 15 years inclusive. 16 years and over is an adult. 2 years and under is an infant. Infants stay FOC.
Extra beds are available on request. We recommend parents book the family suite (rooms 8 & 9), as it has a shared central area and pool where families can enjoy time together. It can also be taken as an exclusive use villa, as it has separate access and in room meals can be provided. Local Samburu guides speak excellent English and are delighted to teach children about their traditions, such as making a traditional bow and arrow. Baby-sitters and special meals are by prior arrangement.
The child rate is based upon the following instances:
- Two children sharing a room (rate applies to each child)
- A child sharing with one adult
The child sharing in an extra bed rate is based upon the following instances:
- A child (or children if more than one extra bed is needed, aged 3yrs to 11yrs inclusive) sharing a room with two others (whether it be adults or children) on an extra bed. This is a third person rate for children.
Extending stay to Masai Mara / Amboseli / Coast will attract extra charge which we request you send us an inquiry for arrangements
Starting your safari from your Nairobi Hotel / Airport where our driver / guide will pick you and drop you at the Wilson Airport for your morning flight to Samburu. (If your flight is schedule in the afternoon or evening 11.00am and beyond, we recommend and overnight in Nairobi a day before your safari )
During your flight, you will enjoy Mt. Kenya Views, Aberdares Forest, the beautiful Laikipia Plains. After a 1.5 hours flight, you will arrive at Oyrx Airstrip where our ground driver will pick you to Sasaab Lodge for your next 3 nights stay.
After your lunch and refreshments, you will embark in a 2 hours game drive within the conservancy and or Samburu N. Park.
Dinner and overnight at Sasaab Lodge
Wake up early, and check out at 6.00am for a 4 hours game drives in the conservancy and Samburu Reserve with our breakfast which will be served in the wild. With the beautiful sunrise and nature, will make your day bright and calm.
We will be on a 4 hours game drive in search of the big five wildlife of the reserve and conservancy, the many bird species and other wildlife experiences.
Later that afternoon, head back to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation before embarking for the evening activities.
We shall engage in camel walk that evening in search of wildlife and visit the best sightings in the reserve.
A sundowner will crown the day with dinner and over night at the lodge
Wake up for breakfast and check out of the camp at 8.00am for a brief game drive within the reserve. Afterwards head to a near by school / village for a visit and learn about the samburu culture.
Later return to lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation.
Later that evening, we shall have the a guided bush walk within the reserve in search of the precious views, small hikes and beautiful sunsets.
Sundowner will be served while in the bush for a once in a lifetime experience.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge
This marks the last day in Samburu Region and Sasaab. After a well experienced stay and activities, we shall fly back to Nairobi.
You shall check out early afternoon after your heavy breakfast to Nairobi and be dropped at your hotel in Nairobi or at the Airport for your homebound flight.

What is included in this tour?
RATES INCLUDE
Airstrip transfers, game drives, guided bush walks, camel walks, fly camping (by prior arrangement only and can sometimes involve the exclusive hire of a vehicle at US$ 406 per day), all meals, house wines, house soft drinks, house beers, house spirits, laundry, bush meals, school/clinic/village/market visits and sundowners.
