Starting from the Northern Side of Kenya, Samburu National Reserve is a rich destination occupied by various unique wildlife species such as the Special Five and Big Five. Not forgetting it is a bird’s paradise, you can spot as many bird species as possible.
With its abundance in wildlife sightings such as elephants, lions, cheetahs, reticulated giraffes, Grevy zebras, gerenuks, Somali ostriches, beisa oryx, and many other wildlife species. It offers scenic views of the hilly ranges of the Samburu region. Engage with the Samburu culture, dance, and since to their traditional songs and culture.
Spending over the mountainous and rift valley regions, you will spend one night in both Aberdares National Park and Lake Naivasha. You will be exposed to the best natural environment in Aberdares, visiting some of the best Kenya Waterfalls such as the Karuru Water Falls, Chania Water Falls, and many others.
While on this 8 days Kenya Safaris, you will spot the Mountain Elephants, Wild Pigs, Mountain Bongos, and different bird species. While at Lake Naivasha, you will be engaged in a boat ride spotting the hippos, crescent island, and beautiful horizons of Lake Naivasha. Visit Hells Gate, and the gorge as well, and do hikes and walks within the park.
Our Kenya Safari will end in Masai Mara National Reserve, the park that is known for its abundance of big cats such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, the big five, and wording record holding for the Wildebeest Migration and Crossings. Safari Itinerary
Our 8 Days 7 Nights Cheetah Safaris Tour in Kenya starts from Nairobi. Early by 7 am, our guides will be at your hotel for pick up after your breakfast. we will drive to Samburu National Reserve with lunch en route at the Trout Tree Restaurant – a unique dining venue set inside and around a giant fig tree.
When you reach Samburu’s arid landscape, you’ll have an afternoon game drive to get to your accommodation – the Samburu Sopa Lodge, which perches on a hill inside the reserve with far-reaching views and rooms housed in traditional Samburu cottages. Tonight, there’ll be a welcome dinner for you and your group.
Dinner and Overnight at our camp / lodge
Head out with your guide/driver into the Samburu reserve on morning and afternoon game drives. Lesser visited than its more southerly neighbors, this relatively small reserve’s arid landscape is home to ‘dry country’ animals rarely found outside the park. It’s special five’ are the long-necked gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, and reticulated giraffe.
Overnight and Dinner at Your Camps / Lodges
Drive south to the Aberdare Mountain Ranges. The Aberdare National Park was created in 1950 to protect the forested slopes of the ancient Aberdare Range, with wildlife ranging from elephant and lion to the black and white Colobus monkey and beautiful but lesser-sighted bongo – a horned antelope with distinctive white stripes.
Once you reach Aberdare National Park, you’ll check in at the Aberdare Country Club in order to transfer to its unique sister property, The Ark, which will be your viewing perch for the night. In the heart of the Aberdare National Park, The Ark’s design is based on Noah’s Ark. It overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, attracting wildlife day and night.
Four viewing decks with balconies allow up-close wildlife viewing without even leaving your accommodation. There’s also a ground-level photo hide and an on-call viewing service to ensure that you don’t miss a thing. Rooms are known as ‘cabins’, set over three ‘decks’.
Enjoy a one-night Cheetah Safari in Kenya treat at the Aberdares National Park, visit the famous waterfalls and hike the highest peak, satima, that’s recorded to be the 3rd highest point in Kenya.
Overnight and Dinner at Your Camps
Have breakfast before driving via Thomson’s Falls – a scenic waterfall on the Uaso Nyiro River – to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch and a game drive. The park is a haven for bird lovers, with over 400 species of bird, and provides a habitat for lion, leopard, and Rothschild giraffe. It also offers fantastic chances of spotting herds of white rhinos.
Continue on to Lake Naivasha for the night and the Lake Naivasha Camp / Lodge, which has resident monkeys, giraffes,s and hippos inhabiting its 150-acre grasslands. Approx. journey time: 3 hours.
Overnight and Dinner at Your Camps / Lodges
Our Cheetah Safari in Kenya continues to Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, set off for the Masai Mara, home to the residents of the big cats, wildebeest, and a whole host of other wildlife amongst its rolling plains and open savannah, including elephant, giraffe, hyena, antelopes, and buffalo.
Arrive for lunch at our booked safari camp, then head out on an afternoon game drive before returning for dinner. In the evenings, relax around the roaring log fire in the lounge with your fellow guests.
Dinner and overnight at our camp
This may mark the end of your safari, having a last taste of Kenyan wildlife parks. With the thrill, you will be taken for a full-day game drive to the most renowned game reserve in Kenya, Masai Mara Game Reserve. It has won several awards as the leading destination in Africa.
With a vast land to explore, we will be able to spot lots of wildlife such as the big cats, wildebeest, birds, and many more. From July to October, this vast land hosts the most phenomenal activities in the world, the wildebeest migration, and crossing. With an added bit of African rough and bush terrain, this eventful moment will actually close up your safari in a memorable way.
That evening after a day, we will have Masai dances or stories that will close our day for dinner and overnight.
On our last day, we will be finalizing our 8 Days 7 Nights Cheetah Safaris in Kenya. Early Morning breakfast at your camp. We will have our last morning game drives before checking out of our camp. We will drive to Nairobi before checking in at our city hotel in Arusha for refreshments and rest.
We will be transferred to the airport for our homebound flight.
