Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Park Fees - Lewa Conservancy Game Drives

The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy works as a model and catalyst for the conservation of wildlife and its habitat. It does this through the protection and management of species, the initiation and support of community conservation and development programs, and the education of neighboring areas in the value of wildlife. For local communities, Lewa represents much more than the wildlife it protects.

Supporting Surrounding Communities

To the people who neighbor the Conservancy, Lewa provides the chance to maintain their traditional way of life in a modern and sustainable context through progressive grazing and forestry initiatives. To families living on its boundaries, Lewa offers improved livelihoods with its adult education and women’s micro-credit programs, community-managed water projects, and access to health care at its four health clinics. To thousands of children in local schools, Lewa opens doors to a future with more choices than the generations before them.

Best Time To Visit Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Best Time To Visit Lewa Wildlife Conservancy

Lewa Conservancy is one of the prime conservancies in Kenya and Wider East Africa. It’s rich in wildlife, especially the endangered black rhinos. Spot the big five such as the Lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

The Conservancy is fairly not in good condition during the rainy season, due to heavy rains, lodges, and camps tend to close this time as they renovate their properties.

January – March

  • This season is the best since the conservancy is hot and after short rains in December. The Conservancy gets lush green and attracts a lot of wildlife, and makes it easier to spot wildlife since the grass is not that tall, but green.

April to June

  • Known as the green season, is when the long rains in Kenya starts, and lodges and camps in this region are hard to access. Therefore they all close down and most of them take advantage to renovate them as they await the peak season from July to October.

July to October

  • Its the busiest and most loved season. Known as the peak season, where visitors all over the world visit Kenya for summer seasons and holidays. The Season starts with the cold month of July and gets hot in Aug to Oct. Short rains in Kenya start between Oct to Dec.

November to Dec

  •  The short rains start this time and they rain till the end of Dec at times. Not so good time to visit Lewa Conservancy since the roads get messy during this time.
