Scattered with pretty green hills, Chyulu National Park is a mountain range located in South Eastern Kenya. Dominated by montane forest, Chyulu is home to a wonderful selection of games, and widely known for having one of the world’s longest lava tubes crisscross beneath the depths of the hills.
The Volcano Hills
Signs of Chyulu’s volcanic origins still remain amongst the park, with several hundred small cones and flows lying across the plains. When taking part in a hike up the famous hills, you will encounter breathtaking views on the African landscape below. If hiking isn’t your choice of adventure, the
national park still boasts spectacular sights of Mount Kilimanjaro, as it recedes over the horizon.

- Distance:- Chyulu National Park is located 232km from Nairobi and 250km from Mombasa.
- Access Roads:- From Kibwezi, turn right off the Mombasa Road and onto a signposted road to enter via Kithasyo Gate. The park can also be entered from Tsavo West.
- By Air and Airstrips:- The Park has two airstrips that can be accessed by domestic chattered flights from Mombasa or Nairobi.
