Samburu National Reserve Safaris
Located in the Samburu Districts south east corner, the Samburu National Reserve is a phenomenal 165km² park that is massively popular for a variety of reasons. This reserve is separated from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve by the Ewaso Nyiro River, and has annual mean temperatures that range between 18ºC and 30ºC.
This stunning Kenyan destination is home to several rare specialist species like the Beisa Oryx and the Gerenuk, that are sometimes referred to as the ‘Samburu Specials’. Furthermore, astoundingly there are an estimated 900 elephants within this reserve, who are also joined by other eye-catching game like lions, leopards and cheetah. It is also common to spot wild dogs within their natural habitat in the Samburu alongside a diverse selection of birdlife.
